haunted

I wake up in a sweat,
you haunt me every night.
Even when I sleep,
I'm reminded you were right.

I try to run from you,
but you're never very far.
You never leave my mind,
but I don't know where you are.

You leave me with a pain,
and confusion in my head.
I try hard to forget,
all the things that you had said.

They were all in vain,
and it haunts me deep inside.
Now I'll just walk off,
as you do your best to hide.
