reactions to a tragedy

reactions to a tragedy

february.28.2001

I didn't know him well,
but his pain was very real.
Some have shown some heart,
but others cannot feel.

I watch them joke around,
and inside my stomach churns.
I watch them curse his soul,
And the fire in my burns.

It was a life that suffered great,
and judge was all they did.
No wonder he escaped,
The scum they are, he rid.

You never know for sure,
Just what's in someone's mind.
We must lend a hand,
To all that you can find.

Because life is hard enough,
Don't try it all alone.
They will never see,
All the pain he must have known.
