but know that you are not.
she makes you think you matter,
but you she has forgot.

she makes you feel alive,
but deep inside you know.
she kills you every time,
and soon she'll have to go.

she tells you all the things,
she knows you want to hear.
she lies with every word,
and feeds upon your fear.

she claims she never tried,
but it doesn't ease the pain.
you pick up what is left,
and struggle to keep sane.
