A secret kept from me,
They felt was best unknown.
A story they can't tell,
So now confused I've grown.
Protection of my heart,
Was what they tried to hide.
The truth has struck me hard,
I feel empty from inside.
The truth can hurt so bad,
But a lie cuts twice as deep.
Next time please tell me,
The secrets that you keep.
The truth can hide so long,
But in time, will surface still.
Say it like it is,
This void, the truth will fill.
